EAGLE POINT GOLF CLUB

Eagle Point Golf Club tells the story of a small band of golfers impassioned by a love of their sport to create something exceptional, something uniquely their own. The founders commissioned Johnston Architecture—a two-generation Wilmington, North Carolina design firm—to create the masterplan and an enclave of buildings inspired by Down-East Coastal Carolina structures.

The architecture presents a refined and timeless statement, expressed with buttressed eaves, exposed rafters, tapered columns, cedar shingles and hip roofs woven with cedar shakes. Its centerpiece, a stately 22,000-square-foot clubhouse, recalls historic coastal landmarks.

Eighteen years in the making, this village of 15 structures, nestled among the live oak groves and upland pines, is rooted in its 275-acre setting, the Intracoastal Waterway, and Tom Fazio’s championship golf course. The PGA chose Eagle Point Golf Club, which is among the most prestigious golf courses on the Atlantic Seaboard and is ranked in Golf Digest's Top 100, to host the 2017 Wells Fargo Championship.
